Anchor Point
Guests safety is of paramount importance to us. We only use our own abseil points on our property where we inspect the anchor points and remove loose dangerous rocks on a regular basis.

There are  three anchor points for each abseil rope and one additional anchor point for the instructor. They were drilled into the rocks and connected to a central chain attachment with galvanized steel cables. These anchor points comply with European Union and the Rigging Industry of South Africa standards. (We do not throw a rope around a rock at various venues to absail our guests.)

We only use approved and tested  to 2.5 kilo newton stainless steel bolts and saddles.

Our harnesses are specially made for us. They are at least 3 times as wide as ordinary climbing harnesses with padding for increased safety and comfort.

All harnesses, ropes and other gear complies with SABS and EU standards.

Instructors are Mountain Development Trust and Theta tour guide trained and have First Aid certification.
